LISELLI
A research method for collective re-imagining. Within this method, the workshop becomes a space for conversations and flat-structured, mutual exchanges of knowledge. The ritual-workshops method is specific to certain constellations of people, and are project-based. These workshops recur in time and have a collective action at their core, to ground artist, collaborators and participants into awareness of the current surroundings.

These zines were part of an artistic project that explores food culture, memory, and community through cooking and conversation. They are an ogoing series of small recipe books that gathers stories, recipes, and impressions from various food-related volunteer activities at the Sletteløkka Grendehus (community house) in north Oslo. The aim is for these gathered recipes and stories to gradually become a collectively-made cookbook. A project that fuels my ongoing research into generational knowledge from a mixed-identity/hybrid perspective (see RITUALS TALKING DECOLOGY).
A pilot podcast episode Radio-Sletteløkka was also made based on the Palestinsk Mat Kveld recording.

CERAMIC ARTIST SARA ZAMECZNIK
workshop during the ‘Bli Noe Annet’ exhibition,
June 2025, Galleri Seilduken, KHiO.
08.06.2025 13:00-15:00.
As part of her investigations into the knowledge inherited by
and passed on to non-human, natural and man-made bodies,
Liselli’s practice overlaps with Sara’s explorations into clay as a living body with memories, stories and knowledge that are transferable to the ceramic artist, and vice-versa.
Workshop participants were invited to experience Sara’s embodied practice by paying attention to their senses while working with clay. Through a series of interactive rounds with clay, the participants are invited to describe and share their awareness to collectively reflect on how we humans perceive information via our senses. Guided by Sara, participants will explore various techniques to consider other forms of communication with their surroundings.
One clay piece was chosen to be fired by the participants. Each round of discussion were recorded and transcribed into a small recipe book to be sent to the participants subsequently. In this way, participants retained a fired piece and a copy of their thoughts for future inspiration and guiding on how to apply this sensing in daily life.

RITUALS TALKING DECOLOGY (2024-ongoing) artistic research project.
These ritual-workshops, together with my sisters, aim to challenge the legacies within our upbringing, and reflect on the knowledge we will pass on to our own children.
RITUALS TALKING DECOLOGY examines the colonial and extractive legacies within generational knowledge, seen from a mixed identity perspective. Through a series of ‘ritual-workshops’, Liselli aims to challenge these legacies, and to collectively reflect on the knowledge transmitted to future generations.

(RE)LEARNING TREE-TIME WORKSHOPS
‘(Re)learning tree-time’ is a collaborative series of events and workshops centred around the notion of time from the point of view of the more-than-human*. It aims to challenge our increasingly human short-term thinking with the long-term thinking of tree-time.
